Nomadness Project Credits

As I leap headlong into this new project with a much more "serious" boat than I have ever had before, I find myself depending quite a bit on the experience of others.  This page is for public acknowledgment and thanks to some of the folks who have helped launch Nomadness...

Les Valsquier
Les Valsquier - I've been hearing this fellow's name in association with multihulls since the early '90s, and had the pleasure of getting to know him on the delivery from Seattle to Camano Island.  His technical understanding of the physics involved is formidable... it's great to have a sailing geek on board when those structural questions arise (and I'd call on him as expert crew anytime).  A year after the Corsair delivery, he helped tremendously with the broker-free sale process and subsequent decision-support on the steel pilothouse cutter.

In 1995, Les wrote an exquisite winter vignette called Nacraphilia that any high-latitude sailor will love.
Wayne Erickson
Wayne Erickson - Former owner of Multihulls Northwest, Wayne sold me the Corsair 36 and helped the process go smoothly.   We "buddy boated" on part of the 2006 Desolation Sound trip, and he and his wife, Ann, were always calm and competent.
Dave Pritchard

Dave Pritchard - It was quite a delightful surprise to arrive in Pender Harbour with no clear idea of where to park the boat, only to discover that the owner of Fishermans Resort Marina owns a Corsair 31!  I was so taken with this friendly place that I returned while enroute south from Desolation Sound, and Dave took an afternoon to go sailing with me... sharing some of his considerable knowledge about these boats.
Cindy Mettler Cindy Mettler - A broker with Swiftsure Yachts, Cindy also happens to own one of the six Amazon 44s in existence.  This helped me overcome my natural reluctance to deal directly with a seller's broker (normally a very weak position for a buyer).  She was a calm voice throughout the stressful research process, and managed dual-agency with aplomb... aided considerably by her extensive knowledge of these boats.
